FourFold Engine First Playtest, Is the Combat Too Easy?

Today I’m finally putting the FourFold Engine back on the table. I originally tried this system in a WWII type video and I wasn't happy with the end results, so I needed to go back to the drawing board to redo it.

After rebuilding the core rules from the ground up, I wanted to run a simple combat encounter to see how the numbers actually feel during play. Sometimes a system looks good on paper until the dice hit the table. In this video I test initiative, melee combat, damage, and a simple stealth situation. Along the way I discover one rule that already needs adjusting. The current beta document is available on Itch's website if you’d like to download it, try it yourself, and leave feedback. Every comment helps make the game better.

Here's the video of me going over the system and a simple play test.
